The Burton Feelgood is the premier all-mountain snowboard for the ladies. Following the long-held success of the Burton Custom, the Burton Feelgood was designed to give the ladies the same benefits that men have experienced for years. Now the Burton Feelgood has expanded into two boards, just like the Burton Custom and the Burton Custom X.
First, the Burton Feelgood is the all-mountain freestyle board of choice for the woman who has no boundaries. Kelly Clark, Hannah Teter, and Molly Aguire have all had a heavy influence on the direction of this board. Almost every woman who rides this board, including myself, can vouch for the snappy response of the Burton Feelgood in the pipe or the park. Even for groomers and off-piste destruction, the Burton Feelgood is still an excellent ride.
However, the board that is most suited for all-mountain freeridish havoc is the Burton Feelgood ES. While the Burton Feelgood is a bit more freestyle in nature, the Burton Feelgood ES excels when it comes to more aggressive domination on the rest of the mountain. Personally, the Burton Feelgood ES is my snowboard of choice because I spend most of my time carving and riding very fast, many times off trail. But don’t take me wrong when it comes to this snowboard, the Burton Feelgood ES is still plenty capable in the park. Given its stable nature, it is extremely smooth crawling up a halfpipe wall. For larger tables, the Burton Feelgood ES is very stable on the landings.
So, you basically have to decide how much freestyle or how much freeride you want to do. Also, consider how aggressive of a snowboard you like. You may be a complete freestyler, but appreciate stiffer boards. In this case, choose the Burton Feelgood ES. However, I think it is safe to say that if you are an all-mountain rider with park emphasis, choose the Burton Feelgood. If you spend more time outside of the park than in the park, choose the Burton Feelgood ES.
